Golden Supreme oven temperature test

The following test was performed with a standard oven thermometer, the oven was set to level 1 and left for half an hour to heat up then after 15 minutes it was turned up to the next level and left for another 15 minutes. The following temperature where recorded. However my thermometer maxed out so could not accurately measure levels above 8.

1 = ± 70°c

2 =  ±110°c

3 =  ±140°c

4 =  ±200°c

5 =  ±240°c

6 =  ±310°c

7 =  ±350°c

8 =  ±400°c

9 and 10 are above  ±410°c 

 

Telesis Adhesive tack time comparison

Below are the times I recorded during multiple tests using PPI Telesis adhesive.

Old Telesis 5 = 4-5 sec before tack

New Telesis 5 = 5-6 sec tack

Telesis 8 = 20-25sec tack

Telesis 8F = 8-10 sec tack

Airbrush Protective Nozzle

Old Thayer & Chandlers and Badger brushes came with protective caps to protect the expensive needle and prevent damage to the tip. I found these rubber caps for my brushes. Pushes onto most airbrushes including Iwata, Badger and Sparmax. Due to the nature of the material it will stretch to fit a wide variety of nozzles.

 Airbrush pictured is a Thayer & Chandler Vega. Will not fit single action Paasche H style brushes.

CC Cup Holder

After 7+ years I finally have a cc cup holder I am happy with. It holds a standard 30mL/30 cc cup. Each one can interlock with another to make multiple cup holders. I will be putting these up for sale in the near future.

Flux Capacitor Drawing

Here is my version of the Flux Capacitor drawing done by Doc Brown in Back to the Future. I feel this is the most accurate version of the drawing without having access to the original drawing. I have interpreted this version from viewing many stills from the DVD and Blu-Ray copies of the movie.

Airbrush needle cleaning with erasers

This is a tip for cleaning neddles with dry hardened on paint.
 This works with all paint types.

First you need cheap hard erasers, the type that discolour and ruin your page, like the ones below.

I then cut them into small pieces to make them fit in my kit but you could use them whole.

 Place the needle on a hard surface and run the eraser along it. It will remove the paint and polish the neddle in one go. Be careful not to bend the tip.

Just finished trailing a new design for my cup holder. Very promising.

Cup holder prototypes

Here are the prototypes holders for my CC medicine cups used to hold my glues and thinners. I will be offering these for purchase soon. I am also looking at doing one with skulls around it.

Back to the Future Marty McFly Boomerang Pin

My replica of the Boomerang pin as worn by Marty McFly on his denim jacket in "Back to the Future" I decided to create this pin when I found none existed and I wanted one to complete my Marty jacket. The design is taken from studying stills from the DVD and Blu-Ray.
Custom made in Sydney from metal and enamel.
